Butyl rubber (IIR)

Butyl rubbers (IIR) are polymers which have a very good weather and ozone resistance, good gas barrier properties and a very good elastic behavior at low temperatures.

Industries

TER Chemicals offers various types of butyl rubber (IIR). IIR is mainly used for the production of tires and tubes, as well as in the adhesives and sealants industry. Larger amounts are used as sealants in the building industry, usually in the form of laminated tapes and profiles.
