Zinc oxide
Tenray ultrafine zinc oxides protect against UVA and UVB light. The product is available as coated or uncoated powder with different particle sizes, as well as an aqueous dispersion and ready-to-use masterbatch based on PE or PP.
Industries
Tenray is used for UV protection in plastics, coatings and textiles. Due to the small particle size, Tenray ensures transparency in the respective application. The non-migratory properties allow several grades to be approved for indirect food contact applications, e.g. in food packaging and agricultural films. Both the plastic film and the packaged content are effectively protected against UVA and UVB light. Thus, Tenray helps in reducing food an plastic waste. Furthermore, the ultra-fine zinc oxides are used in transparent wood coatings to effectively protect the coated material from UVA and UVB light.
