Alkyd resins
Alkyd resins are condensation products derived from polyols and organic acids including dicarboxylic acids or carboxylic acid anhydride and triglyceride oils. Chemically they belong to the modified polyester resins. Alkyd resins are differentiated primarily according to their oil content (short-oil to long-oil) and their drying behavior (air-drying to non-drying).
Industries
Our alkyd resins are used in the manufacture of paints and varnishes. Applications include interior and exterior decorative coatings, wood finishes, as well as baking and general purpose industrial coatings.
